Helping others isn't just what I do — it's a value my parents instilled in me from the start, rooted in a deep belief in social justice and showing up for people. That foundation has shaped how I practice for the last 20 years. So much of what people carry — anxiety, old trauma, disconnection in relationships, the quiet grief of caring for a parent who's declining — happens invisibly, behind a version of themselves that looks like they're managing fine. I do this work because I believe everyone deserves to feel truly seen, not just fixed or managed. And I've watched what happens when someone finally gets to stop holding it all together alone, even for an hour a week.

Why I do this work

I bring together EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, and values-based (ACT) work — not as a fixed formula, but as tools I draw from depending on what you actually need. Some sessions are about processing something specific from the past; others are about figuring out what matters most to you right now and how to move toward it. What stays consistent is this: you'll be met with warmth, not clinical distance, and we'll always come back to what real, felt change looks like for your life — not a textbook definition of "better."

My approach

Twenty years of clinical experience across some of the most challenging areas of mental health care. I began my career at a local Rape Crisis Center, then spent time at the VA Hospital's Mental Health Clinic, working with veterans on military sexual trauma, PTSD, and substance abuse.

In addition to my Colorado LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) clinical license, I hold a License in Addiction Counseling (LAC), a credential that required a separate licensing exam, two years of coursework, and two years of supervised clinical experience. I'm also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma and PTSD treatment.
